The following list illustrates the most pressing challenges faced by IT hiring managers in 2014 according to a recent survey conducted by Harris Poll on behalf of Career Builder* and Sologig.com.
- Retaining Top Talent – 36%
- Lifting Employee Morale – 31%
- Recruiting High Skill Applicants- 29%
- Providing Competitive Compensation – 27%
- Worker Burnout – 26%
As you can see the top priorities for hiring managers right now is finding the top candidates and ensuring they stick with the company. The most able and in-demand workers are being sought out by many companies nationwide. As such many hiring managers are realizing that in order to stay competitive in the job market they need to be proactive in increasing employee morale and create incentives for employees to stay.
